Time to prepare hives for winter! Wasps may be a pest too so reduce entrances (mouse guards on ready?). Colonies need to be queen right, healthy and have adequate stores along with a secure, water tight hive. Treatments complete its about ensuring the bees have stores sufficient to see them through to next spring, so feeding or fondant may be required (or ensure there is plenty of honey left on!). Inspections should cease so as the bees can propolise and seal the hive. If supers are left on remove the queen excluder so as the queen does not get stranded!!
